Michael V. Tretyakov is Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham, UK. He has extensive world-class expertise in stochastic numerical analysis. He also conducts high quality research in uncertainty quantification, financial mathematics and stochastic modelling including close collaborations with engineering related to composite manufacturing processes and aero-engine technology. Michael has written a research monograph (joint with G.N. Milstein) and more than 60 scientific papers as well as an introductory textbook on financial mathematics (ICP,2013). He has served on the editorial board of SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing since 2005 and also on editorial boards of two other journals.
