The Researcher Network has organised the next event in Bristol and the South West of England. The theme of the event is the transition from academia to industry. From 9am until lunchtime on the 20th September, there will be talks from engineers who have made successful transitions from the role of university researchers up the TRLs to industrial impact. Speakers and panellists will include hub alumni, spinout founders, and other former academics now in industry. This will be a great networking opportunity.

In the afternoon of the 20th September, also at the NCC, SAMPE UK are launching their latest Design, Make, Test competition and are encouraging all researchers present for the Hub event to take part in teams. Lunch and dinner will be provided by SAMPE UK for attendees.

Please ensure you list the team name and team member names and email addresses. Entries beyond this date will not be accepted.
The following day, the Researchers Network are also organising a tour of Leonardo Helicopters in Yeovil. This will include their active composite line for helicopter blades and talks from Leonardo employees on the research work they do in the area. The tour will be finished by 2pm to allow for all to travel back to their respective homes in the afternoon.
