Prasad Potluri

Professor Prasad Potluri is a Professor of Robotics and Textile and leads the core research on 3D preforming and automated manufacturing.  He holds an EPSRC High Value Manufacturing Catapult Fellowship at the NCC. He was a Senior Design Engineer at Suzuki Motor Company before moving to academia.  Since 2007, he received funding of over £8 million from sources including the EPSRC, TSB, EU, BIS, DSTL and the US Air Force. Prof Potluri is an international expert in 3D textile preforming and has developed novel machines for 3D weaving, braiding, robotic fibre placement and complex winding and has published over 130 papers.
