Yilong Li

Yilong Li is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, Yilong is funded by EPSRC DTP studentship, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Sutcliffe and is currently working on the Hub Core Project; Design Simulation Tools and Process Improvements for NCF Preforming.  Yilong’s research concentrates on modelling the multi-layer preforming process of NCF composite, including simulating with the FE model and providing optimization methods to avoid defects. Prior to joining  the University of Cambridge Yilong completed his MSc at Imperial College London in Advanced Aeronautical Engineering and achieved his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2021.
