Ric (Xiaochuan) Sun

Xiaochuan (Ric) Sun has recently been involved in the CIMComp 'Layer by Layer Curing' feasibility project. He is a postdoctoral researcher at Bristol Composite Institute (ACCIS). He received his MEng degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Bristol. From 2011-2015, he investigated impact damage and damage tolerance of composite structures as a PhD student at ACCIS. Since the end of 2015, Dr Ric Sun has been working on composite damage and failure, composite manufacturing defects and features, composite braiding, composite-metal hybrid joint and composite manufacturing process modelling in collaboration with other research institutes and industrial partners.
