Professor Emile Greenhalgh is the Director of the Composites MSc at the Composites Centre and he lectures on material selection, composite design, testing, characterisation and failure analysis. Prof Greenhalgh has over 30 years experience in the field. Having published over 100 papers, he has built up an international reputation and led a number of international programmes in composites. His fractographic expertise has led to involvement in high profile component failure investigations as an expert witness and publishing material on the fractography. Prof Greenhalgh was awarded the Sir Vernon Brown Prize by the Royal Aeronautical Society leading a trinational research programme.
