Our Director— I am very proud to be leading the IDC and following in the footsteps of Professor Ivana Partridge. Our cohort of Research Engineers is highly diverse, attracting many females, mature students and other under-represented groups in engineering that would not have considered doctoral studies. The IDC is clearly a means of establishing resilience and diversity in UK industry, underpinned by its practical, flexible approach to industrially driven doctoral education. It is inspiring to be part of a community that aims to train the composite engineers of tomorrow, with the aspirations to be future business leaders and entrepreneurs supporting the UK Composites Sector.
