The Hub recently became a member of the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF), which is a tool that is designed to enhance and develop the necessary skills for individuals to pursue a career in academia. You can view a short video here: https://rdfplanner.vitae.ac.uk/
All Hub PhD student’s and Researcher’s are encouraged to enrol to further their professional development and the Hub are offering the opportunity of a half day workshop – An introduction to the framework on Wednesday 24 November 2021, 13:30 – 16:30 at University of Nottingham.

Workshop Overview
The half-day workshop will provide the tools to manage your own professional development by undertaking a training needs analysis and gaining practice in how to set objectives, reflect on progress, provide evidence and communicate effectively about professional competencies to a variety of audiences. The Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) will be used to identify prioritise and benchmark key competencies.
During the workshop, you will discover:
• What professional development is, and why it matters
• How you can use the Vitae RDF in your career planning
• How to design an action plan for your development, including:
-Setting objectives
-Reviewing progress
-Recording evidence
