You are invited to an EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub Industry event, to be held online via MS Teams on Friday 16 June between 10:00 and 12:00.
If you are new to the Composites Hub, the Hub started in January 2017 with the aim to drive the development of automated composites manufacturing technologies, by developing and understanding the fundamental process science. The objectives from the outset were to build a national composites community to support the doctoral training of the next generation of engineers, whist creating a pipeline for new technologies to address industrial needs.
The Hub officially concludes in December 2023, and we would like to take this opportunity to present our findings to you, as a member of the UK composites sector. We are keen to discuss our ideas for the next Composites Hub with you during the session, for which an outline bid has been recently submitted to EPSRC for £11M of funding. A new Hub will create world leading science to address sustainable composites manufacturing and transfer that knowledge to industry partners through innovation spokes in HVMC, in addition to training more than 100 future engineering leaders.
If your company is interested in joining our future Hub bid as an industrial partner and you would like to register for the online session on 16 June 2023 please email EN-INFO-CIMCOMP@exmail.nottingham.ac.uk
The agenda is as follows:
1000: Welcome and Introduction
1015: Hub Research Overview
1035: Industry Engagement and Impact
1050: Break
1100: Outline of the New Hub
1115: Online Feedback Session
1130: Future Hub Engagement
