Matthew Bower

Matthew Bower is a Development Engineer working at the AMRC Composite Centre, and is a part-time PhD student at the University of Sheffield.  Before commencing his PhD, Matthew received a MEng in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Sheffield.  His current research area is the advanced curing of composite materials, with a focus on ‘Microwave processing of composites’.  The aim of his project is to reduce the energy consumption and cycle time associated with autoclave processing of composite materials via out-of-autoclave microwave radiation processing, specifically for the aerospace and automotive sectors.
